Eggs are a natural food, so Niall Delargy of Ballyeamon Eggs does his best to respect and encourage the natural behaviour of the hens.

That’s why the hens are housed in a way that makes it easier for them to explore their environment, which has been made a bit more interesting with the help of the Woodland Trust, who have helped to plant a wood of native trees where the contented hens have the space and shade to range and forage outside.

Ballyeamon Eggs are a part of the RSPCA’s independently certified farm assurance scheme and maintain a packaging centre approved by SALSA.

Evidence of being home to a number of happy hens, ‘Out There Eggs’ have previously been awarded gold in the Blas nah Eireann Irish Food Awards, as well as winning stars at the Great Taste Awards.
