Jam at the Doorstep - The Farm Shop in Armoy
Amanda Hanna runs her “Jam at the Doorstep” business from the kitchen of her family’s dairy farm on the outskirts of Armoy making a range of jams, chutneys, curds, salted caramel sauce, Christmas puddings and sticky toffee puddings. Amanda also has a Farm Shop on the farm selling her own products alongside other locally made products as well as running regular workshops in her cosy kitchen where participants can learn to make their own tasty jams and chutneys.

In 2016 Amanda discovered a big batch of rhubarb growing on the farm and decided to make some rhubarb jam. She had so much she sold it from her own doorstep alongside an honesty box and that was the beginning of “Jam at the Doorstep”.
Amanda now makes a range of jams, chutneys, curds, caramel sauce, sticky toffee puddings and Christmas puddings although she has now progressed from selling her products from her doorstep! The Christmas puddings won 1 star at the 2022 Great Taste Awards.
In 2020 Amanda opened up a small Farmshop on the family dairy farm selling her own homemade “Jam at the Doorstep” products along with lots more locally made, artisan products including fresh breads, farm fresh produce, honey, snacks, beverages and sweet treats. The farm shop is open from Thursday to Saturday 11am to 5pm. Extension work on the farm shop is currently ongoing and should be complete by early 2023.
Amanda also regularly runs workshops from her farmhouse kitchen showing participants how to make their own chutneys and curds. The popular workshops also include opportunities to taste her own products and have a browse in the farm shop.
