North Coast Smokehouse specialises in producing naturally smoked foods in the picturesque coastal town of Ballycastle in County Antrim.
Among the many delicious products that North Coast Smokehouse offers, customer favourites include the award-winning smoke-roasted organic salmon sourced from Glenarm, smoked sea salt, and smoked dulse seaweed which are used in many eateries up and down the Causeway Coast.
While delighting locals and tourists alike, the company has also been busy winning various awards including the Blas na hEireann (Irish Food Awards) and UK Great Taste Awards in 2016 and 2018.
Recently, North Coast Smokehouse became the seventh ‘Artisan at Work’ in the ÉCONOMUSÉE programme in Northern Ireland which means customers can visit the micro-smokery and find out more about the intricate processes involved.
Owners Ruairidh Morrison and Melaine Brown take great pride in sourcing their products like dulse seaweed from the waters around Rathlin Island and the North Coast which are then gently cold-smoked over beech wood and milled with nothing else added.
