In 2016, the B&B was the runner up in the most promising new tourism business category in the NI Tourism Awards and in 2017 it was the serviced accommodation category winner. Blackrock B&B was the first in Northern Ireland to join Boutique and Breakfast's exclusive luxury bed and breakfast portfolio.
Braemar Farm Ice Cream use milk from their own dairy herd and local ingredients, where possible, to produce a range of ice creams and fruit sorbets. They sell from their trailer on Castlerock Promenade as well as shows and events across Northern Ireland. Braemar Farm also supply a number of local shops, restaurants and cafes.
Broighter gold rapeseed oil is a family business established in 2006. Their oils, which now include a range of infused oils, can be bought all over Northern Ireland, online and at their on-site farm shop. They also sell through a distribution company in ROI to various restaurants and have recently signed up with Liberty’s in London. Broighter Gold are part of the Economusee network and have been welcoming tours of the farm since 2012. Awards they have won include gold and best producer in Derry at the 2018 Blas Na hEireann awards, bronze for their rapeseed oil in 2017, 2 gold stars for special edition rapeseed oil at the Great Taste Awards 2016.
Broughgammon Farm was set up in 2011 specialising in cabrito kid goat meat and then branching out into free-range rose veal and seasonal wild game. They now have their own artisan on-site butchery, run seasonal cookery, butchery and wild game classes and have a small farm shop. Currently most of their sales are direct through Causeway Speciality market, Naturally North Coast & Glens markets, St George’s Market, Belfast and Temple Bar Food Market in Dublin but they also have plans to increase and push restaurant sales. They are currently collaborating with Corndale Farm to produce products to export. Awards they have won include a two star award for goat bacon in 2016 Great Taste Awards.
Bushmills Inn is a 4 star boutique hotel and restaurant. In 2009 a large scale development was undertaken which brought the hotel to its current status of 41 spacious bedrooms and luxurious suites and included a new courtyard garden, state of the art conference facilities, exclusive Still Room Cinema and Garden Room extension to the Restaurant. The Bushmills Inn has won various awards including Best Hotel in Ireland 2018/2019 (Best Loved Hotels), Best hotel restaurant in Ulster 2018 (Good Eating Guide), NI’s best hotel stay 2018 (NI Tourism Awards) and Top 100 hospitality business 2018 (Hospitality Ulster).
Causeway Coast Foodie Tours offers visitors guided food and drink tours of the Causeway Coast area showcasing the best local produce and hidden gems the destination has to offer and introducing the producers and chefs. In 2017 their Catch and Sea Tour was awarded a 'Highly Commended' Certificate in the Best NI Tours and Trails category of the NI Year of Food & Drink Awards.
Corndale Farm was established in 2012 with a herd of 4 free range pigs and the aim to produce top quality pork. They now have between 80 and 100 pigs. In 2016 they spotted a gap in the market for Northern Irish made charcuterie and now produce a number of charcuterie products including chorizo, salami, pancetta and air dried meats. Products can be found at the finest hotels and restaurants throughout Ireland and GB as well as online. Corndale Farm regularly host food tours at their farm. They received 3 awards from blas na heireann in 2017 and in 2018 won gold for their wild sika venison salami. They have also won stars in 2017 and 2018 Great Taste Awards.
Glenballyeamon Eggs has been producing free range eggs for over 20 years. All of their eggs are packed using state of the art processing equipment, in their new SALSA approved processing facility. They sell their eggs across Northern Ireland to restaurants, shops, cafés, bakeries and hotels. Awards they have won include gold for their free range eggs at 2018 Blas na Heireann awards and Chef's Larder Silver award in 2017, a Gold Star at 2016/2017 Great Taste Awards,and Causeway ChamberAgri business award winner 2017.
Irish Feast offers both scheduled and bespoke food and drink walking tours around Ballycastle, Bushmills, Glenarm and Rathlin Island where people get the opportunity to meet the producers and chefs and discover the stories behind the food.
Islander Kelp, are a 4th generation island fishing family, who grow, harvest, process and export organic kelp from Rathlin Island to specialist food retailers, distributors and restaurants around the world. Products include their award winning kelp pesto. They won Great Taste awards in 2018.
Lacada is an award winning community owned co-operative brewery in Portrush. Artfully produced beers take their names from local landmarks and stories on the Causeway Coast, thus tying the product firmly to the visitor experience of this area. Our beers can be found in restaurants, bars, hotels and off licences throughout N.Ireland.
Morellis have been making their award winning ice cream since 1911. For Five generations the family has made ice cream using fresh Double Cream and butter from the historic Ballyrashane Creamery. The Morelli family have stores in Portrush and Portstewart and Ballycastle and franchises throughout Ireland. Their retail packs are also available in various supermarkets throughout the country of Ireland with the company recently securing a contract to supply products to Tesco Ireland. Morelli’s were also voted National Supreme Champions at the Ice Cream Alliance National Ice Cream Competition in Harrogate in 2019. In 2018 their Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt was awarded best product in its category at Blas na h'Eireann Irish Food Awards. They also won a range of Great Taste Awards in 2018 including gold stars for their Irish Black butter, caramalised hazelnut and Irish coffee ice creams and a gold star for their frozen yoghurt with cherry.
North Coast Smokehouse specialises in producing smoked foods naturally, in the picturesque coastal town of Ballycastle in Co. Antrim. They produce award-winning smoke-roasted organic salmon, smoked sea salt, and smoked dulse seaweed, smoked black pepper, smoked rapeseed oil and smoked trout. Awards include Blas na hEireann (Irish Food Awards) and UK Great Taste Awards in 2016 and 2018. They recently joined the international Économusée network of open artisan workshops, so you can visit their 'micro-smokery' and find out more about what they do! Ocho Tapas restaurant opened in 2015 in Portrush serving fresh local seafood and freshly prepared dishes using locally sourced produce with a great selection of local beers. They also run paella cookery classes. In 2016 they won Yes Chef best newcomer Ulster and best new comer Ireland awards.
Tartine is an award winning restaurant located at the Distillers Arms in Bushmills.
Gary Stewart from Tartine, won Restaurateur of the Year 2017 at NI Institute of Hospitality Awards and was the Ulster Chowder champion at Rathlin Sound and Maritime festival in 2017. The restaurant won the Northern Irish Tourism Award for Best Food Tourism Experience 2016 and is listed in the Georgina Campbell Ireland Guide. Tartine also cater for small boutique weddings.
