Morelli Ice Cream
The Morelli family have been making their multi award winning ice cream on the north coast of Ireland since 1911 producing over fifty flavours of scoop ice cream, frozen yogurt & sorbet at their factory in Coleraine
For more than five generations, the Morelli family has been making its award-winning ice cream using fresh double cream and butter from the historic Ballyrashane Creamery. These rich dairy ingredients are created using milk from cows that graze in the lush green pastures of Northern Ireland’s spectacular Causeway Coast.
The Morelli family’s connection to Northern Ireland began when their great uncle Peter Morelli – left his southern Italian homeland in search of work and a better life. He and his brothers established cafes and ice cream parlours throughout Great Britain and Ireland and were so successful that, more than a hundred years later, the family name is synonymous with fantastic ice cream.
The company specialises in a wide range of ice creams, waffles and sundaes all prepared to the award-winning Morelli recipe and no holiday on the North Coast is complete without Morelli’s famous ice cream.
Morelli’s take home range of 950ml tubs are available in five favourite flavours for all the family to share (Double Cream Vanilla, Honeycomb, Raspberry Ripple, Sea Salted Caramel, Belgian Choc Chip) and can be purchased at many retailers including Tesco, SparNI and Supervalu.
Morelli Ice Cream have also produced a "Libero" range of dairy free, vegan-friendly ice cream flavours. Produced using a special blend of healthy coconut oil which replaces the milk, both Strawberry and Chocolate flavours are now available.
Success at the Great Taste Awards, The Irish Food Awards and the UK & Ireland National Ice Cream Alliance competitions are all testament to the care, and attention to detail that Morelli Ice Cream put into making their delicious ice cream.
