Member Information

Irish Moileds are the only surviving cattle native to Northern Ireland. Unfortunately since the 1950s numbers began declining. The numbers have since improved but they are still considered "at risk". The Scott family believe that supporting Irish Moiled beef is the best way to ensure a future for this wonderful animal.

The Scott's pedigree Moilies live happy outdoor lives thriving on a diet of pasture and foraged treats. Some of the Moyletra herd are very lucky and get to spend winter upon the dune grasslands of Benone.

Being slowly matured and grass fed, Irish Moiled beef is in a class of its own for its distinctive taste and texture. Moilie beef has a deliciously strong taste with no need for sauces or embellishment. It has fantastic marbling throughout adding succulence and  tenderness.

Grass fed beef is high in omega 3s, vitamins A and E and electrolytes. It contains more healthy fats and less saturated fat than conventional beef.
